Novel zootechnical compositions and a method of upgrading domestic animals such as cattle by administering under the skin of said animals a mixture of zeranol and an anabolisant steroid of the formula <IMAGE> I wherein R is alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms and X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, lower alkyl of 1 to 6 carbon atoms, lower alkenyl and lower alkynyl of 2 to 6 carbon atoms in which one of the carbon atoms may be replaced with an oxygen atom and acyl of an organic carboxylic acid of 1 to 18 carbon atoms.

The invention relates to animal husbandry. . The aim of the invention is to increase the weight gain of animals. Example 1. Zootechnical compositions were prepared in the form of tablets for subcutaneous administration to gobies. The composition of IQ contained Zeranol 36 mg, a steroid of the formula OCHNIII 3-OKCO-I7p-acetoxy estr 4,9,11-tr-enen 200 mg. Composition 1 contained zeranol 36 mg 3-OKCd-l7B-acetoxy estr 4,9,11-tri en 140 mg. Example 2. A zootechnical composition with an anti-inflammatory agent was prepared. The composition contains the following ingredients: zeranol 36 mg, 3-oxo 17 | acetoxy estrus 4.9slI-TpHeH 140 mg and dexamethasone ester (B - ethoxy / 5 ethoxy) ethoxyacetic acid 70µk Example 3. Experiments were performed on young bulls. Animal times. divided into groups: 1 - control, not receiving the additive; 2 - animals that were injected under the skin with a tablet with Stage 1a; 3 - animals that were injected under the skin with a tablet containing 36 mg of zeranol; 4 - animals that were injected under the skin with a tablet containing 200 mg of 3-oxo-1713-acetone systrome 4,9,11-triene compound. Tablets were injected under the skin behind the ear. All animals received the same type of feed for 90 days. The results of the effect of these zoological compositions and an increase in bull weight gain are presented in Table. 1. As can be seen from the table. 1, the increase in the weight of animals that received the proposed zootechnical composition was significantly higher than that of animals that received other zootechnical compositions. EXAMPLE 4. The study carried out in example 3 was repeated on adult bodies during the first 28 days of life. The results are presented in table. 2. As can be seen from the table. 2, the predla-aga composition gives the highest effect in the magnitude of live weight. Example 5 o The study described in example 3 was repeated on the male bodies of the Norman breed. Novotnye were distributed on 2 groups: 1 - control, animals that did not receive an additive; 2 - animals, which were inserted under the skin tablet containing the composition in accordance with the prior 2. The study was conducted within 9 days. The results are presented in abl. 3. I.. As can be seen from the table. 3, the proposed zootechnical composition provides an increase in weight gain of animals. Example b. The study described in Example 5 was repeated on female bodies. Animals section: ena on 3 groups: 1 control, not receiving supplements; 2- animals, which was administered under the skin tablet containing the composition of 3- animals, which was administered under the skin tablet, containing the composition of example 2. The results of the research are shown in Table. 4. As in, but from table. 4, the proposed zootechnical composition (group 3) provides the highest efficiency gain. Example 7, Tests were carried out on bodies of male French breed (Frisian, black and pega). Animals are divided into 3 groups: 1 - animals, not received supplements; 2- animals to which a tablet containing 36 mg of zeracol is administered under the skin; 3 - animals to which a tablet containing 36 mg of zeranol and 140 mg of 3-oxo-7y-acetoxy estr 4,9,11-triene was injected under the skin in accordance with composition l5. The research results are presented in Table. 5. As can be seen from the table. 5, group 3, the preparation of the proposed zootechnical composition yielded the greatest weight gain. Compositions can be introduced by schlections in the form of solutions or suspensions or through the mouth.
